Calling All Uniforms!
We still have hundreds of uniforms that have not been turned in, and WE NEED YOUR HELP! If you are still holding a uniform from the regular season, please turn it in to your regular season coach ASAP. Please contact the coach to make arrangements to drop off at his house if necessary. Catch Little League Softball Action on ESPN Starting Tonight
Tonight kicks off the first of the six softball national telecasts, with the Big League Softball World Series live on ESPN2 and ESPN360.com at 8 p.m. Eastern U.S. Time. Tune in to the big game from Kalamazoo, Mich., to see who will wear the crown of 2009 World Champion for 14-18-year-olds.
Little League is proud to say, for the third consecutive year, that its contract with ESPN includes national coverage from ALL of the girls' softball World Series tournaments.

Fall Majors Schedule

- Home team will occupy the third base dugout.
- No Inning starts after 2:45pm in first game and no inning starts after 1 hour 45 minutes into the second game.
- Rainouts will not be made up.
- Umpires will furnish game balls.
- No standings are tracked.
- Changes to the schedule are indicated by orange shading and are always announced via email.

Register Now for Fall Ball!
It's time to think about Fall Ball again!
Baseball
Baseball
- Fall baseball will be for ages 9-14. Ages 9-11 will play on the small fields. Ages 12-14 will play on the big field. If you played as a 12-year-old in the majors this year you will play on the big field as preparation for next season. This is a fun and instructional season.
- The season will start on August 30 with Labor Day weekend off and continue for 7 weeks after Labor day, with the final games on October 25.
- All games will be played on Sunday afternoons between 1:00 and 6:00pm depending on the number of teams.
- The cost is $65 and includes a shirt. This fee helps us cover the costs of umpires, baseballs, etc.
- You can sign up online here. To help us organize teams, recruit coaches and order shirts, we ask that you please sign up online as soon as possible. The final day of online registration is August 20.
- We will hold one in-person sign-up session on Tuesday, August 4, from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Southern Little League office behind the senior field.

Majors All-Stars Bow Out
The Southern West Major All-Stars wrapped up pool play Monday with a 3 to 1 loss to Commerce Little League from District 4. This eliminates Southern from the State Tournament to cap off a great season. A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS GOES OUT TO ALL OF THE PLAYERS AND COACHES. Thank you also to all of the parents who helped organize and plan the trip to the state tournament.

Update from State Tournament
Southern's Majors Baseball West All-Stars lost Sunday to Penokee Range Little League 7 to 6. They play Commerce Little League from District 3 Monday at noon. It's a must win game to move on in the tournament. Good luck Southern!

Majors All-Star State Run Begins
Southern's Majors Baseball West All-Stars defeated White Lake 3-0 Saturday in the first game of pool play in the state championship tournament in Jackson, MI. They take on Penokee Range from the Marquette area Sunday at 1:00pm. You can follow along on the Michigan Little League website.

Big League Regional Tonight at Pinery Park
District 9's Big League baseball team advances to the regional finals tonight at Pinery Park at 5:00pm and 8:00pm after an exciting win over Indiana. Trailing 4 to 2 going into the seventh inning, Southern’s Ben Cok hit an RBI single, Western’s Seth Holton followed with another RBI single, and Southern’s Tyler Lewis hit an RBI sacrifice fly to take the lead 5 to 4. The team then held on in the bottom of the seventh with Jeff Victor from Holland getting the save. Come out to Pinery to watch the finals tonight.

Seniors All-Star Championship at Southern Tonight 5:30pm
After a commanding 10-4 victory over Zeeland last night, Southern's Seniors Baseball All-Stars play against undefeated Western tonight in the district championship. If they can hand Western their first loss in the 5:30pm game, they'll play again for all the marbles at 7:30pm. Come out to Southern and cheer on your all-stars tonight!

They are gray with the Southern Little League logo on the front. The back lists the names of the all-stars. Wednesday Fund Raiser for State-Bound All-Stars
To help defray the costs of traveling to the state tournament next week, Southern's Major League West All-Stars are holding a fund-raiser on Wednesday evening at Southern. From 6:00 - 8:00pm on Wednesday, they'll be collecting your cans and bottles at the equipment shed. Please consider donating your cans and bottles to help support your Southern All-Stars. You can watch them take the field for their practice while you're there and wish them good luck in their state tournament run.
