Dear Southern Little League Members Past and Present:
Iris
Henwood, the wife of Jim Henwood, passed away suddenly last week. Iris
was a special education teacher for many years at Lincoln School. Jim
and Iris were married for nearly 57 years. For over 35 years Iris has
supported Southern Little League by graciously allowing Jim to volunteer
in many capacities including President of Southern Little League. Iris
was a regular participant at Family Day as well as for all of the Lead
Off parties and many year-end board parties. Iris was a kind and
wonderful person and a friend to everyone at Southern Little League.
There
will be a Memorial Service Friday, August 14, at 11:00am at Trinity
United Methodist Church, 1100 Lake Drive SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506.
Jim,
we know how much you miss Iris and we do as well. Our thoughts and
prayers are with you and your family as you grieve the passing of your
best friend and wife of nearly 57 years, Iris Henwood.
